Buttered Side Down (also simply referred to as Buttered on this wiki, by his initials BSD, or Mr. Butter) is a character who appears in every episode. He is considered the main protagonist of series with the same name.

Largely, Buttered Side Down's appearance remains unknown, but from a third-person perspective, he is a 6 foot tall bald man with a beard, a blue shirt, jeans, and black velcro shoes, that were formerly shoes with duct tape attached to them.

Due to the series revolving around from his perspective, Buttered Side Down has always had a major role in almost every episode. The only episodes where he has a supporting or minor role or has a instead is the following:

- Most people comment on most of Buttered's videos with crazy stuff happening, saying that the stuff mentioned in these videos are from Ohio. Those comments are made to keep the "in Ohio" meme alive, even though the Ohio meme is unfunny.
